Tommaso Serra is an Italian photographer living in London since 2014. After completing a Master’s in Development Studies at SOAS - University of London, he begins to focus his photographic work into the pursuit of stories that convey the limits of economies based on consumerism and extractivism.

The other theme that he touches and works on is the research of the various fragmented identities, realities, and stories of the Mediterranean basin.

He is a member and co-founder of the collective La Città Minaccia.

In addition, he is a member of the international coalition on drug policy reform and environmental justice.

His work has been published on italy segreta, vittles magazine, something curated, tide magazine, Slop magazine, pit magazine, and perimetro.

lately, he has co-participated on the italy segreta 288-page photo book, “how italy feels” published by Penguin Books.
